Dr. Nina Eckhart

Dr. Nina came to yoga in 2007 during a personal crisis. She explored various styles and finally fell in love with Anusara Yoga. The life-affirming, heart-centered attitude—and the lighthearted, creative, and playful elements—speak to her heart and have accompanied her through life on and off the mat ever since. Her students appreciate her thoughtful, compassionate, yet playful and humorous nature.

Dr. Nina completed her 200- and 300-hour teacher training with Matt Giordano, a former student of Rudrani Farbman and Jacalyn Prete, and feels incredibly blessed to be able to further deepen her study with these two precious teachers.

For her, meditation is asana practice for the mind, and she loves guiding meditations. It is a matter close to her heart to cultivate meditative awareness in shared practice, co-creating a deep experience of connection with each other and with our True Self.

Living in Germany, she is immensely grateful to have such a deep and special connection to the WYC community—a connection that transcends continents and time zones and has become a safe haven and home for her.
